Miss Ukrainian Canada Fashion Show is an integral element of the Grand Final that elevates fashion to extravagant performance. Transforming the stage of Hammerson Hall into a runway spectacular, it aims to push the limits of creativity when combining dynamic fashion shows, great music and visual effects. It showcases some of the latest fashion trends for the upcoming year provided by renowned and emerging Ukrainian and Canadian designers.
In 2016, the theme of the fashion show was titled “Ethnic Roots” featuring ethnic and neo-ethnic collections of seven Ukrainian designers:
Kozzachka by Anna Ko.
Ethnic Style by Inna Tsaryk.
All of the collections had a different story – wild, futuristic, elegant, fantastic – that was presented not only through the pieces themselves, but through incredible live performance of Ukrainian pop-folk singer ILLARIA accompanied by a few Ukrainian Cossaks playing the orchestral drums.
Pushing the boundaries of fashion and performance, the fashion show was presented as part of the 2016 MUC Grand Final’s program. Special thanks to Hair Master Toronto for generously providing fashion-forward hairstyling.
